Caregiver Training Programmes

PMKVY Caregiver Training J&K

The Caregiver job role has emerged as a high-potential employment avenue under the Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC). Recognising the global demand for caregivers in countries experiencing ageing populations, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, has entered into G2G MoUs and workforce mobility partnerships to facilitate overseas placements through NSDC International.

The Jammu & Kashmir Skill Development Mission (JKSDM) invites applications from recognized Hospitals and Allied Health Institutions of J&K having associated hospitals/healthcare facilities for conducting Caregiver Training Programmes under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 4.0. Hospitals and Allied Health Institutions possessing the requisite clinical infrastructure, training ecosystem in healthcare service delivery are encouraged to participate in the implementation of Caregiver Training Programmes under PMKVY 4.0. The selected institutions shall conduct classroom training and facilitate On-the-Job Training (OJT) in accordance to guidelines prescribed under PMKVY 4.0. Implementing institutions shall be eligible for payment of training cost as per the scheme norms and guidelines.

  • On-the-Job Training (OJT): Mandatory clinical training rotations must be conducted inside the associated hospital or partner clinical facility.

Any government hospital, registered private hospital with active clinical facilities, medical college, nursing college, or paramedical allied health institution located in Jammu & Kashmir is eligible to submit applications.
Caregiver training under PMKVY 4.0 is fully government funded. Selected implementing partner institutions are eligible for payment/refund of training costs in accordance with the official scheme guidelines and norms.
Institutions must have dedicated classrooms containing a digital multimedia projector, active internet connection, seating capacity, caregiver simulation demonstration area, and CCTV cameras covering classrooms and demonstration spaces.
You must upload scanned copies of: (1) Certificate of Incorporation, Registration certificate, or Licensing approvals, (2) Organization PAN Card and GST Registration certificate, and (3) Financial turnover statements for the last three Fiscal Years.
Training centers must have access to essential tools and equipment, including: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), emergency kits, training mannequins, patient trolleys, wheelchairs, stretchers, bed sheets, medical screens, various support devices, air mattresses, air mattress pumps, and appropriate electrical fittings. Additionally, hands-on exposure such as visits to Senior Citizen Homes must be arranged as part of the caregiver curriculum.
